-HIGHLY CUSTOMIZABLE PLASTIC STAY ? Mold thermoplastic to your unique hand shape to limit movement of the thumb, wrist and forearm. The plastic insert surrounds the thumb and wrist more effectively than a thin metal stay so they can rest to heal. Insert is encased in an extra soft padded pocket for added comfort.


-(3) STABILIZER LENGTHS TO CHOOSE FROM ? Short (5 ? 6? in length) and Mid (7 ? 8? in length) for Indications - Thumb sprains, strains, arthritis, tendonitis, ligament injuries and joint fractures. Long (8 ½ - 9 ½? in length) with additional Indications for - de Quervain?s, tenosynovitis and wrist related arthritis, tendonitis and joint fractures. Length of plastic stay is dependent on length of splint. See the image displaying the measurement chart to choose correct size.


-MAXIMUM HAND FUNCTION WITH MAXIMUM THUMB IMMOBILIZATION ? A less cumbersome open palm design allows for full finger mobility to perform daily activities while insert Isolates and limits thumb movement to help hold the thumb in place. Choose the hot water molding method for a removable stay or the microwave instructions to permanently adhere stay to brace. Instructions included.


-SUPPORTS AND PROTECTS ? Trim Thumb strap length to wrap only around the IP thumb joint or leave as is to continue wrapping further down toward the MP thumb joint. Combined with the rigid plastic stay, the brace can protect against painful bumps and help provide support to prevent overuse injuries.


-LIGHTWEIGHT, BREATHABLE, INTENTIONAL COMFORT - Edges of thumb splint in contact with skin are free of stitching or excess bulky edging material for a softer, more gentle contact with skin to help avoid skin irritation. Made of thin, 1/16" (1.6mm) lightweight perforated neoprene with a soft terry cloth liner for comfort and to help absorb excess moisture. Does not contain natural rubber latex. Washing instructions ? Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent and air dry.




Universal support with moldable thermoplastic stay provides a customized fit. Thin, 1/16" (1.6mm), perforated neoprene provides cool, lightweight support and compression. Neoprene can be trimmed and customized easily. Soft, terrycloth liner feels good against the skin. Use the special thumb strap to stabilize IP extension or trim the thumb tip below the IP joint for thumb IP motion. Three lengths offer varying amounts of support. Use the Short and Mid lengths to treat thumb CMC and MP arthritis, ligament injuries, MP fusion, tendinitis and joint fractures. Use the Long length to treat de Quervain's, tenosynovitis, arthritis, wrist and thumb tendinitis, joint fractures and CMC joint arthroplasty. Includes a 3/32" (2.4mm) Omega Max thermoplastic insert for custom support. Removable insert restricts movement of the wrist and thumb joints and can be trimmed. Pocket helps pad the stay for a comfortable feel against the skin. To fit the thermoplastic insert, heat in warm water and mold, then place it into the inside pocket. Or, microwave the insert while it is in the splint, then mold on the patient directly where needed. Fits either the left or right hand. Short measures 5" to 6" (13 to 15cm) in length.
